Reviews of Samsung LN32B360 from Amazon.com

Great TV

Really love this TV. It arrived before schedule in great shape. Had no problems hooking it up. And have been pleased with the picture quality and color since we have been using it.

For the price, great TV

For the price, this is a great TV. The sound isn't the best, about the only complaint I have.

TOO EARLY TO TELL...ONLY HAD IT 2 WEEKS...GOOD SO FAR

I WAS LOOKING FOR A TV ABOVE BAR AREA IN BASEMENT...ONLY HAD 2 WEEKS....DOING GREAT SO FAR...NO COMPLAINTS.....

Outshines LG and SONY

We looked and looked. Finally standing for almost an hour looking at the LG and SONY 32" 720's side by side. Can honestly say after looking at the 1080's that in this size the 720 outshines the 1080. If you are looking at a 50" set then it's a different story. Color was fantastic and superior to the LG in my opinion. Ease of set up is great. Design and layout of the remote is intuitive, making tweaking to get your final settings of the flesh tones, contrast, and sharpness easily to your exact likings. Remote has some buttons allowing you direct adjustment of certain settings without going into the full menus to reset them. For a bedroom view of 8' to 10' the 32" is just great. I've had this TV for just about one week and have been trying to decide if I really need to upgrade to HD but guess I'll go all the way for the full experience. This TV really blows away your viewing experience. We purchased the 4 year extended warranty so reading the few negative reviews doesn't bother me! There will always be those Monday morning fabrications that will throw a clunker into the works. But I am pleased to the maximum from this purchase and highly recommend the Samsung LN32B360 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV.

can't compare to LG

EVeryone say Samsung is the best but once i got it... can't even adjust the color right,
panel in the back where you plug in the cable is thin and weak, a little press i think I would break the panel.
return and got the LG, it is perfect and color is sharp and nice as default setting.

Samsung LN32B360 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

Overall, I'm very happy with the TV. I did a lot of research on 32" LCD TV's and the Samsung had the best picture by far. My only complaint is the quality of sound out of the built-in speakers. In retrospect I should have done more comparison research on the sound as it wasn't as good as the reviews had indicated. Other than that, I'm a happy camper.
(October 27, 2009)

Was unsure.............

After my good old "regular tube" tv just stopped working last week, I started looking into a new replacement television--boy was I confused! A lot has happened in electronics in the past 10 years! As someone who is not a high tech expert, I just wanted a tv that was inexpensive, , easy to use, and not loaded with stuff I would never use.
I started talking with salespeople at BestBuy, Walmart, and Sears, and they all told me to go with a Samsung or a Sony. After reading reviews on this site and others, I decided to narrow my search to the Samsung models as the Sony 32" models seems to have a lot of problems with "boards" within the first year----so, a Samsung it would be.
I found the 32" model on sale in several places, all around the $450 mark.(my limit was $500) Went to BestBuy where they price match, and got an open box model for even less---$399! Score!
The tv was easy to set up (even for me! I really am NOT an electronics kind of guy) and within minutes I had an amazing picture off this set! I do NOT have cable, and am using only a digital antenna to get the signal, and still the picture is incredible! The pre-set settings for color, sound and such are just fine for me, and even though the sound comes out the bottom of the set, it sounds just fine to me. (other people reviewed that the sound was tinny and weak) I have only had the tv for 3 days now, so I am still getting used to this large , clear, defined picture, but so far so good! (you really DO see things much clearer, especially peoples faces) I would definitely recommend this television to people who arent totally into the whole "I need the top of the line television with all the bells and whistles".Depending on where you are, you should be able to pick this up for around $450-$475.
Hope I am just as happy 2 years from now!

Very good set for the $!

I bought this Sammy to replace a wall mounted box TV in a bedroom. What a drastic improvement it made! Due to the compact size of the flat screen, it replaced a 21" box. The price was comparable to a Vizio at my local Walmart. I'll take a Sammy over a Vizio anytime. It came as specified in just a few days, mounted to the Cheetah wall mount I purchased here on Amazon, and I was enjoying the set in no time. I only rated it 4 stars due to the pic being 720, which for a 32" is good for a bedroom or den IMO. I think it would come up a little short for a home theater unit (what are you expecting for around $450!). All in all, It's a good set with enough features to satisfy the needs of most at a good price. Thanks Amazon for offering the Sammy at a Vizio price!

Only one night in, but i've put it through the paces.

I believe this is just about the best LCD you're going to find for the sub $500 price tag anywhere right now. I actually picked this up last night at a local electronics store that was selling it for $399! I was waiting for the "Black Friday" deals to come around, but I thought this was smarter as facing those massive crowds of consumer hungry individuals wasn't on my list of things I would like to do.

Anyway, the Samsung has done nothing but impress me for the price. The first thing I did was hook up my PS3 and 360 in order to check that all was up to par. There is very minimal blur (to be expected from a 60hz LCD) but nothing too distracting as long as the viewer is at least 3-4 feet from the screen. I sit 7 so I barely noticed it. I am used to a 42" plasma that has no blur at all, so it took a little adjusting, but nothing major. Next I streaming Netflix. The SD movies were acceptable and the HD looked amazing. I would say it passed the test for that as well. I moved on to streaming HD content from my laptop through the xbox. This, again, looked more than acceptable. All I had left was BluRay... and let's just say that this was the cream of the crop when it came to the tests short of playing a game on the tv. The picture was crisp, bright, colorful and accurate. The blacks were great and the whites were blinding if chosen so.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. This is the first Samsung I've ever purchased as I've stuck to plasmas in the past (mostly Panasonic) but I knew they didn't really compete as strongly in the LCD market. If I had to choose again I wouldn't change my choice... especially for the price tag that was associated.

LOVE IT!!!

Bought this tv 11 days ago at Target for $499. It just went on sale for $399. I brought my receipt in and Target gave me back the difference. Compared to the other sets at the store, this one definitely had the best picture quality. The whites were white. On the other sets the whites looked dull. I had a Proscan and returned it. Then I tried a Sylvania and returned it. I tried a Vizio...returned it. Brought the Samsung home and I love it. I will not be returning it. The picture and sound quality are amazing even up close.
(November 25, 2009)

Better than what I thought...

I actually bought this TV at Best Buy on 11/28/09, but I've been browsing and researching TV's on Amazon for a little over a year now. I picked it up on a whim, I knew that I would buy a Samsung for my first LCD purchase and I couldn't say no to a $377.00 price tag ($405.00 after taxes.)

Great picture and very good sound quality. I've put it through its paces with my PS3. Running on HDMI initially it did some glitching and a couple disconnects but has been solid since.

Only problem I have it volume adjust, to low while watching TV and way to high with the PS3 running.

Great TV

I, like many others, pulled the trigger on the tv when it dropped to $378 on Black Friday. I used to have the Samsung LN32A450 but had to sell it when I moved. At the new place, I was actually content with the regular non-high definition tv, but when the price drops that much, I have to purchase it, mainly because Samsung TVs = quality

Comparing the A450 to the B360... well I don't really notice any differences really. It has one less HDMI port but other than that it is all the same to me. I use mines for playing PS3 games, watching Bloomberg and the occasional movie through the PS3.

I would reccomend this TV 110%. It is still worth it at this price definitely, but I would look to see if anyone is selling it for $378 still...
(December 03, 2009)

Great TV for the price.

I picked this up around Black Friday '09 for just under $400. I had tried to purchase an LCD TV a few years ago, before finally deciding on a plasma because I couldn't stand the motion blur of the LCDs. I bought this TV as a gift for someone, and stopped by to check out the picture quality. It was very good. I checked a few different places -- sports stations, sometimes even the news ticker -- to see if I could notice any motion blur, and I saw none. I wouldn't say the picture is better than plasma, but I was very impressed for it being an LCD. I would definitely recommend this product. I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to write this one in case anyone had any of the same issues I had before buying it. It is a great TV.
(December 05, 2009)

Great with a Roku!

I bought this as my first television in years to use with my Roku HD. That's a box that hooks up to your wireless network and streams Pandora, [...], and Amazon.com Online to your TV. Go buy one, you'll be happy.

Now I can't always see HD by eye no matter what anyone says. But I spent hours streaming HD from Amazon.com through the Roku to this television last night, shows I've seen before, and it was AMAZING! After some basic configuration to tell the television that it is getting an HD stream I was in Heaven. The picture is perfect, the blacks black but not so much it takes over half the screen as I have seen in other televisions.

What can I say? Good built-in speakers, looks great, incredible price. I say go buy it now! For around $400 it's just hard to beat!
(December 04, 2009)

Good pick for first grown-up TV!

I'll be honest, I had done all my research and decided on a Sony 1080p/120Hz 37" set. So, I went to Best Buy and was looking around at everything, from every angle and switching the channels from the demo mode they show in stores to the air channels. This one was out on the floor as an "Open Item," so I studied it for a long time, looked at every channel, turned up the sound, and everything checked out. Plus, it was $150 below retail because it was an open item.

Since the one I really wanted was twice as much (the low end model, at least) and we're trying to save money overall, I went for this one. I have watched DVDs, my Nintendo Wii, air channels, DTV network channels, and I am pleased! I have decided that it depends much more on the source than the TV for good picture. The HD channels show up better than the air channels.

The Best Buy near me has stacks and stacks of them as I write this, so go out andpick one up!

Good value LCD

Got this for $399 off Amazon, $150 cheaper than our local Best Buy. Great sound and video quality. Great for sports, movies and regular programming.

Amazing Picture Quality, Sound, And Most Importantly...Price!

I absolutely love my new Samsung LN32B360 720p LCD HDTV!!!!

I knew I would like this t.v. the moment I took it out of the box. Although I was somewhat disappointed with this flat panel t.v having only 2 HDMI ports, I quickly got over it once turned it on. The picture quality this t.v. is amazing and the sound coming from it's speakers definitely impressed me to say the least. The t.v screen looks good from almost any angle. I'm happy with my purchase and I would definitely recommend this t.v to any who's in the market for buying a new lcd hdtv under 40" and won't put a huge whole in their wallet. I think 720p is sufficient for flat panel televisions under 40 inches. I think getting a 1080p flat panel t.v. under 40" would be a waste of many if you're buying it for the sole purpose of watching 1080p (1920x1080) resolution.

I want to share my calibrated picture settings for this model t.v. with anyone who's looking to optimize their viewing pleasure. I'm content with these settings and I hope you find theses settings satisfying as well. Give Me Feedback on these settings. Tell me what you think or share your own picture settings.

After doing a lot of research, I settled on this Samsung and absolutely love it.

After weeks of research, comparing and contemplating all the various choices I had when it came to LCD TVs of this size and price range, I decided this Samsung was the one for me. I took it home, removed it out of the box, assembled it and turned it on and as I had expected, was really impressed by what this TV had to offer.

The picture quality is absolutely amazing. Especially when watching any blu ray movie. It just looks so crisp, colorful and the image moves so smoothly. The picture on this 720p TV looks just as brilliant as a 1080p TV of the same 32 inch size. I have a Playstation 3 connected to the TV using a Mediabridge Ultra Series HDMI cable and am still astonished today by how all my videogames have never looked, felt, and sounded so good before. This TV definitely is excellent for playing videogames, especially with its exclusive "Game Mode" which makes the games move even more smoother and more life-like. Picture settings and sound settings are both fully customizable as well as feature preset settings. The TV has simple, easy to follow menu screens that only took me a few moments to navigate through and learn. The remote is also simple and easy to use.

I only have two complaints about this TV and they are relatively minor. Firstly, while the sound from the speakers is plenty loud and life-like, I would have wanted the speakers to have a little more bass to them. At a few instances when watching regular TV programming, it sounds clear but at the same time does sound kinda flat. However, they sound great when playing movies and games through my Playstation 3. Lastly, the picture loses some of its color when viewing the TV from the side. The TV is in one corner of my room and I have it facing diagonally towards the center of my room. Meaning, I view it from the side on occasion. When I do, the color fades out a bit. I heard this more limited viewing angle is typical of LCDs and do see the exact same thing with other brands as well.

Some people will opt for a different, more expensive 32 inch TV also made by Samsung because the other model has 3 HDMI outputs compared to the 2 HDMI outputs featured on this TV. However for me, I only need 2 HDMI outputs, one being for my Playstation 3, the other for the cable box. So a third HDMI output was really unnecessary for me. Plus, I love the glossy all-black finish of this TV. The other model has a different finish.

Overall, I give this TV a 9.8/10, which is the highest rating I've given compared to any other 32 inch LCD. I am extremely happy and look forward to years and years of use from it and will purchase another Samsung TV in the future. You can't go wrong with Samsung, they are quality TVs in every sense of the word.

Excellent Tv for the price

Been trying the TV for about 2 weeks now and love the picture. The hi def is very good also. I use it in my bedroom for my computer monitor also and it looks great on that. One thing I do not like is the pain you have to go through to switch back and forth from PC to TV. When the TV is off and you turn it on to go to PC, if your not fast enough, it shuts down. Kind of a pain

Great Buy

I did lost of research before buying this TV. I was initially set on a 1080p, but kept reading and being told that until you get about 37 inches, the difference will be minimal if noticeable. Other models of this size in the same price range that I looked at had a much lower contrast ratio, which was another reason I went with this one. We use this set as the main TV in our living room and so far we only have our standard DVD player connected to it via component cables and I excited to see the difference when we hopefully attached a blu-ray player soon. Going from an old CRT set to this was a huge leap for us and we are thoroughly pleased with the picture and performance so far.

Samsung TV

I received my TV in a timely manner, had it placed, plugged it in, and there was a beautiful picture. I am enjoying this television and know you will also be happy with the same model. Love the swivel base, which makes viewing easier from any angle. Samsung LN32B360 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

samsung 32" TV

Great tv

I bought this television at the Black Friday sale and it was well worth the money. It has a great picture, and good sound quality.
(December 29, 2009)

Good for a 15 x 15 foot room

This TV has crisp clear imaging with the HD channels and does not even show a difference in the regular programming. I love it since I am able to connect to my macbook pro and watch movies. No complaints here so far and I have had for a few weeks. It's perfect for a 15 by 15 room. The only thing that I wish it had was additional inputs on the side like most flat screens for easy accessibility with game systems, etc.
(December 29, 2009)

Great value for just enough features in an HD LCD TV...

This Samsung TV has all the features I need, a great picture, and was an excellent value all around. It also has an easy to use menu system and a clean design.
There are always new TVs with more inputs and higher refresh rates Etc., but until the innovative HDMI 1.4 features (Ethernet, 3D, Audio return channel, 1440p) are available, I find a price point like this to be a great bargain for a fine TV.
(December 30, 2009)

Great value

At under $400 for a 36" TV I am more than satisfied. While it is an older technology LCD, it is more than adequate as our bedroom box. If you want unbelievable picture quality and technology then the eight series is what you must invest in.
(January 06, 2010)

Everything has already been said about this...

... except whenever possible, connect the set via an HDMI cable (even if you only have regular cable) as the picture improved dramatically. I initially used coax but wasn't at all pleased with the picture quality. Next I tried the component connections as I had a spare set of new cables handy and while the picture improved, it still wasn't all that great. I took CNET's advice and bought an El Cheapo HDMI cable from Ebay ($4.15 shipped!) and then the set then came to life. The picture quality is very nice now. BTW: don't spend any more than $5 shipped for an HDMI cable, you're wasting your money (look on Amazon and Ebay -- they are a ton of them out there).

We've had the set for a couple of weeks now and are enjoying the free space in the family room that the old 26" CRT set and the old TV stand that it used to sit on occupied (the Samsung is mounted on the wall). I see that Amazon has the set listed now at $399 with free shipping but when we got ours on Black Friday weekend, Best Buy had the best price I could find at $377. My only gripe so far with buying from Amazon is that it takes them several days to get the order out the door.

My first ever HD flat screen

This 32"Samsung flat screen TV was our Christmas gift for myself and my husband, our first HD ever! It has been wonderful ,the picture was outstanding even before our HD hook up! We have bought a second one 42" for our frontroom with the same results. I am sold on Samsung.
(January 17, 2010)

Great TV

I bought this TV for my bedroom and have been pretty happy with the sound and picture quality. I just wanted a good low end TV and the Samsungs looked better than some of the off brand lcds. I have a higher end 46 inch samsung for the living room and it's great quality lead me to get one for my room. The 720p vs 1080p is negilible at this size. It would be nice if it had more inputs but who has a home theatre in their bedroom. I would strongly reccomend Samsung tvs for anyone and their larger high end (series 6 and up) tvs are fantastic.
(January 18, 2010)

Freaking Awesome Picture

I'll make this short and sweet. This TV produces deep black levels, and amazing bright colors. Its energy efficient. My only squabble is it only has 2 HDMI ports and no side ports. Bottom line, for entry level LCD 32" TVs, this set "takes the picture quality cake".
(January 21, 2010)

Great Bedroom TV

This TV is a perfect fit for my bedroom. Great connections, picks up my digital cable channels directly from the co-ax (Comcast, North Boston). My one complaint is that the TV needs to be dusted every day. I do have a cat, and that is the problem. Nothing else I have attracts the dust like this TV. The black bezels around the screen really show the dirt, but the screen stays relatively dust free.

Make sure you know who you are buying this from. I didn't get it directly from Amazon, so it was slightly more expensive and came via FedEx. If you get it from Amazon it ships via a special carrier, includes scheduled delivery and setup. Next time something tries to ship via FedEx I plan to have it shipped to the closest UPS store to the warehouse and then shipped to me UPS. FedEx blows; tracking is uninformative and outdated, re-routing requests is impossible, and when I went to the depot to pick it up the guy rolled the box too me. Thank god for double boxing and airbags.
(January 22, 2010)

Near perfection!

I was going to write a long review of this TV, but I think a few points speak for themselves:

-The stand was easy to assemble, and the TV is so light (yet durable) that it was a snap to install by myself. It rotates easily and smoothly, and doesn't reflect light too much (so you don't have to watch movies in total darkness for fear of glare on the screen).

-From the first time starting up, the TV prompts you to pick out a few settings of your choosing. We have (limited basic) cable, so I went into the menus afterward and had the TV scan through all the available channels. Amazingly, this TV picks up more channels (including a bunch of digital channels) than another HDTV (a 4-year-old plasma) that we have in a separate room. The broadcast channels are fuzzy of course, but the HD channels look fantastic! Of course, I had to modify the picture and audio settings to really make things look and sound good, but once they were set, I knew this TV was worth it. It only took around a half hour of tinkering and I think I'm done for good (as opposed to the plasma, which still has issues). The settings are also independent for each source, so you can watch movies and play games knowing they look their best. As for sound, the speakers are decent, especially with the SRS turned on, but the bass output is limited, and even a 2.1 surround setup will sound much richer.

-I have an HD-DVD player hooked up via one of the HDMI ports, and have sampled a few discs in high-definition, but what really surprises me is how good regular DVDs look. True, they're "upconverted" by the player, but it's still a wonder how they can look so good. The latest one I watched was the Pixar movie "Up," and it looked PERFECT...it was crystal clear, with vivid colors and a real sense of depth and scale. The Blu-Ray version may have a higher resolution and better depth, but I was more than happy with what I saw (and this is coming from someone who just bought a PS3).
(January 23, 2010)

Fantastic

I have a Panasonic Viera 32" and the picture on both tvs' is excellent. I am giving the Samsung a slight edge because it is a bit more user friendly. The channel information displayed on the Samsung is more detailed and the buttons on the remote control are better arranged. Some people have complained about the sound quality. I will tell that even on a the top of the line Samsungs, the sound quality does not even approach a dedicated theater system. You can easily add a home theater system for 100-200 dollars. Check Consumer Reports for reviews. The Samsung was very easy to set up. Great product. Highly recommended.
(January 24, 2010)

So far so good

I bought this TV at Best Buy for $399. Color (I boosted to 70%) and Clarity is great for the price. I have only had the product for 2 weeks and I have no issues so far. I own a 37" Samsung (720p LCD), which is 2.5 years old and I have had no problem with that one as well.
(January 25, 2010)

Very Nice Product

The only thing missing is that there is no option to set it for "PIP" or Picture in Picture, so you can't have a TV Picture with aa auxiliar Picture.

But, besides that, the TV is Perfect.

Great Picture, Great Second TV

After lots of careful research, I decided to go with this Samsung TV based on customer reviews and professional reviews. I am very glad to say that I am completely satisfied with this purchase. The picture is great and the inputs in the back are sufficient to satisfy the needs of a bedroom/office TV. Xbox 360, PC, Standard Def Cable, HDMI, all of the inputs necessary are available here. Granted, there is only really one, maybe two of each type of input, but likely you are not buying a 32in TV to be your media center in your living room. If you are, I would suggest either looking at a larger size or possibly the SONY - KDL series TV's.

Either way, this is the bottom line: if you are in the market for the best bang-for-your-buck second TV, this is your best bet. Sony and Panasonic have some good TV's at this size and near this price range, but in my opinion, this TV has the best picture of the three. Another thing: do not worry about this set being 720p. 720p is plenty at this screen size, so save yourself some money and stick with a 720p/1080i TV. The only reason I could find to go with a 1080p 32in TV would be if you intend to use it as a computer monitor, but even that might be overkill for some people. In addition, you may want to check out the calibration settings for this TV on CNET.com. I used these setting and it makes the picture even richer.

My final note: if you are thinking about buying a 32in TV, stop right now and buy this one. You will enjoy it. I bought this from amazon.com and they delivered the TV the very next day! I can't promise that you will have your TV delivered as quickly, but amazon gets an A++ from me in the customer service department!

Another Quality Set from Samsung

This is my third Samsung LCD tv; seven overall for my entire family. Samsung's tv's all perform well, and this model is no exception. The 32" is the perfect size for a small bedroom or office.

Good valued TV

I just watched the Super Bowl on this TV last night. HD is excellent w/ vivid imaging and decent sound. Non-HD is okay. DVDs also look great when being hooked up via HDMI cable to an upconverting DVD player (Philips DVP5990 DVD Player with 1080p HDMI Upconversion & DivX highly recommended.) At this price, I guess it would be a good-valued TV. Should I recommend this TV to other folks? Yes, definitely.

Great Buy!

I've had this tv since December 2009 and it is amazing! I was surprised when I got it because it was so light. The picture quality is very good. I bought it for less than $400 and the price was worth it considering it is a 32-inch lcd.

Great HDTV for the price

This TV was to replace a 10 year old bulky Fisher TV. I ordered it on Feb 12th and it was delivered to my door the next day. And this was with Free Shipping!!!.

I have Cable TV, but have not yet subscribed to any HD channels. Since my cable company charges extra for HD access, I don't plan to subscribe to HD access. But I primarily got the HDTV so that I can play bluray disks. But after hooking up the B360, I was pleasantly surprised to see how clear the picture was. It is actually better than my old Fisher TV.

So if you have to replace an old TV set, and don't have a subscription for HD access, or just need a spare TV for the bedroom or guest room, this is an inexpensive option. You won't be disappointed.

Great TV

Purchased this unit for the Bedroom. We have a Samsung 61' LED DLP in the living room for about a year and totally love it. Decided to go ahead with Samsung this time around for the bedroom.

This TV has rich colors right out the box. Audio is just ok. My 26' Sharp LCD it's replacing had much richer sound and deeper bass. However, it's not the worse.

Only 2 HDMI inputs. Maybe an issue from some. Only Way I can see that being an issue is if you plan on using this as your main tv. For those 2 negatives, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

For those who are new to HDTVs and are beating yourself over 1080p and 720p: don't do it.
For screens under 50 inches (some say 55 inches), the naked eye can not and will not notice and appreciate any difference in picture quality. Also keep in mind, this TV does produce 1080i, which is what all HDTV channels brocast in. 1080P is only viewable on Blu-Ray for the moment. And even if this set was 1080P for your blu-rays, once again - you won't notice the difference. So please don't let that be an issue for you.

Overall, great TV for the bedroom or budget tv for the living room.

Samsung LN32B360: Day One

I just got this TV yesterday and set it up last night. Set up was a breeze, and the set is definitely light enough for one person to move. I'm a small lady and had no problem lifting it up above my head onto a shelf. I was leary about getting 720p, but the picture is perfect. I won't be using this as a PC monitor or for gaming, so I believe the 720p is perfectly adequate. So far, on day one, I'm very pleased with this purchase!

A Nice View For You!

I purchased a 32" LCD Samsung a few weeks ago, and am I happy that I did. I rate the video as clear study and bright; not as bright as my 55" LCD Samsung, which is a 1080p vs 720p, but this is a super TV for my 16'X20' bedroom. This TV allows one to change the size of the picture in addition to the many other features. The volume is quite adequate, it allows one to set a time to automatically turn off. Its light weight weight and can be mounted on the wall or table...Finally, the price is fair, ranging from about $350 to $400 dollars.
I purchased my set from Amazon!

Nice Picture.... While It Lasted

After happily owning a larger Samsung LCD for a few years, we decided to stick with the brand and purchased this TV for our bedroom. The picture quality was great. So was the sound. Right out of the box, we were very happy.

Within two weeks, the TV stopped turning on completely. The little red light on the front just blinked slowly. Bliiiiiink, bliiiiiink, bliiiiink. After trying everything in the manual, and searching the internet only to find out that this seems to be a common problem, I called Samsung for assistance. A 32 inch TV is 'too small' for their local warranty service provider to service (no drop off option, even in a large metropolitan area), so they finally agreed to pay the shipping costs to send it in for service. While that was a nice gesture, I'm still out over $40 for packing it (does anyone really save the original packaging for something like this??).

While it might be a nice unit when it works, I'll think twice before insisting on a Samsung for our next TV. If I was willing to pay this kind of money for something that wouldn't work, then I could have purchased from any company out there.

3 stars because it was nice while it lasted. Stuff happens.... but they are penalized because it happened to ME.

Great TV and a good price

We bought this TV a week ago for our kitchen and we really love it. Picture is amazing in HD, especially watching the winter Olympics.

Pros - Picture and the sound are great for what we are using it for. I'm not sure why others have commented on bad sound, it sounds good to us. The speakers are hidden on the bottom and face downward which is what we wanted since it makes the overall size smaller and cleaner looking. It's in the kitchen and we are not using it for movies. Mostly, just for sports and news. The colors are bright and crisp and the blacks are dark. Setup was simple and the remote and menus are easy to use.

Cons - These are not cons for us since they did not change our decision to buy this TV. However I feel I should mention some of them. There are no connections on the side of the TV; all are located in the back. This would be an issue if you wanted to easily connect a camera or other devices and you wall mounted the TV. We mounted on the wall, but used an articulating arm; this makes it easy for us to access the rear connections. We can just swing out the TV. There are no USB or card slot for viewing pictures and no S-video. We are only using an HDMI cable which was not included. This TV comes with no cables which I found strange. I've since learned that most now don't. When connecting my Sony HD Handycam to this TV using the component connections, the picture is great, but not as good as on my older Sony Plasma. Moving objects did not appear as fluid. Maybe if I was to use the HDMI it would be better, however I don't have that cable for my camera.

I'm not sure I'd be happy with this as a primary TV since it's only 32" and I feel the new Plasmas have a truer picture, better in high light rooms, and truer colors such as flesh tones. I'm sure some would argue this, it's just my option. It would make a great bedroom, or small room TV.

We looked at a lot of TV's in the size and we feel, at this price (I paid $450) it's a hard TV to beat.

Great TV for a great price

we recently purchased this TV for our bedroom. I did upgrade our cable box to HD as i didnt like the standard picture quality and all has been great since. PS3 is great on it too. For 379 => great deal

Great smaller HDTV

I got this HDTV for my wife to watch the 2010 Winter Olympics and she is
thrilled! The picture is great and the colors pop- and I haven't even fine tuned it yet. This size tv was the largest that would fit our Entertainment Unit. I was considering a Vizio unit of the same size- but Radio Shack had this one on sale for less- we got it for $380. Great HDTV!

A great investment

I picked this up to replace a smaller tv and have been totally amazed at the quality of the picture on this one. I had one minor problem hooking it up due to my being technologically challenged but one phone call to the Samsung customer support number took care of that and they were fantastic to deal with.

If you are looking for a 32" tv, do yourself a favor and get one of these. Yes, as others have said, the sound could have a little more bass in it but it is still ok as is.
(February 27, 2010)

WOW, did I pick the right TV!

This was my 1st HD Flat-screen purchase in my life, and I had done some research and asked friends that have them. I could have bought a Vizio for under $300 but I decided to go with the brand that got the highest rating for this size TV..Samsung. The set up is soooo easy (and the box is under 30 lbs) and the picture is AMAZING. I only needed 2 HDMI ports (1 or cable box and 1 for the PS3. I would recommend this model to anyone that's looking for a flat-screen. It is in my bedroom and I watch it all the time. Buy with extreme confidence. Not 1 bad thing to say about this!

Would Recommend

I have had this TV for a little over two months now and I'm quite happy with it. I have a samsung monitor that matches this TV and I have always been happy with their products. They have a higher contrast ratio then a lot of other TVs in the price range and overall the picture looks great. I haven't had any problems with viewing angle and sound quality is adequate. The product is aesthetically pleasing but the glossy surface may require a occasional cleaning(included a cloth). The remote isn't anything special but I think it's above average and I like the button placement. My only real problem was how long the TV takes to turn on and change channels. It seems to be a little slower then other LCDs I have seen. This isn't too much of an issue for me though because I have dish so the dish receiver does all the channel changing. For the price though(I paid $380+tax) it's an excellent TV and if this is the size and/or price range you're looking for then I would recommend it.

Samsung 32" Alot of Quality for the Price

Great TV for the price. It is the second one I bought. I hung the first one over my bar and needed a new one for my bedroom. I really like the quality of the picture, sound is good and remote control is easy to use. I'd highly recommend this product for someone wanting a quality TV under $400. The price seemed to vary on this TV, but I did get mine for $399

Perfect for the bedroom

What an improvemnt over the old 27" TV we had. Excellent picture and sound. And very easy to install and set-up

Can't beat a Samsung for quality of images

Having two Samsung LCD monitors (and insisting upon the brand when buying a new, larger one), it was a no-brainer to choose a Samsung LCD television to mount in our motorhome. What a difference in the quality of picture we got via the old (now gone) analog TV. We love this Samsung (32-inch) TV and will be purchasing a larger Samsung LCD for our home soon.

The lighter weight of the LCD set makes it a joy to handle in our motorhome, where we have to dismount it each time we travel. The reason: we set the TV lower, over the original spot for the now-gone analog television; the current location impedes the driver's view so the LCD has to be removed...it travels on our bed.

Ordering through Amazon.com was a piece of cake. The TV showed up in three days after ordering!

We highly recommend this brand. The only complaint we have is that the price dropped $20 a week after we received this set. Even for the extra $20 we paid, it was a very good price...and the quality just cannot be beat!

Samsung LN32B360 32-Inch LCD TV Review

This is the TV to buy if you want one this size. Don't buy a cheaper or more expensive TV. This one is cheap but looks and sounds expensive.

I am very happy with this TV

I bought this to put in my bedroom. I don't like watching TV in bed, but my wife does. Since it is a bedroom TV, I didn't want to spend the money for the newest technology, and it is a very good value for what you get. The picture is very clear, the sound was surprisingly good (I never use built-in speakers before... I love my B&Ws in the family room), but if I had to do it over again, I'd get a slightly bigger screen. It's just a tad small for the distance we have it from our bed, which is about 12 feet from our heads to the screen.

Samsung LN32B360 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

This was not the 32 inch that I wanted but by a convenient event I got it. After setting it up and watching it for a few week now, I am not sorry. The picture quality using standard definition connections is amazing almost HD quality. The color is brilliant,The blacks are black and the whites white. There is no fading from side viewing and the sound is above average. The one draw back here is the number of available standard definition connections the set have. 1 component and 1 composite. There is no S-video. This I find is room for improvement because if you have more than 2 older pieces of audio video equipment then you need to purchase a multimedia scaler or something like that to use them with this TV.

That aside the TV is a really great purchase for a small room like a bedroom or small family room. 4 stars and not 5 because It should have had another 1 or 2 standard def connections. If that's not a problem for you, then this is a splendid deal for the money. You will be very pleased.

Good Value

I've had this for 3 months now and love it for the price. I would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonbly priced HD TV (I paid $380, looks like thats not available anymore). I also have a SONY XBR 46" in 1060 which naturally has a more crisp picture, but this 720 is quite crisp for the price. Easy to setup too.

Terrific TV at a great price

This is my 3d Samsung, and at this point I would buy no other brand. The picture is crisp and clear, and the sound is as good as my 46" Samsung. The menu system and remote are superior to even my older Samsung units.
Terrific product at a great price - way-to-go Samsung and Amazon!
