Great TV Picture But Otherwise Flawed
Great picture on strong over the air tv signal but will not pick up weak signals that other digital tuners I have do easily. It has a large selection of inputs (including 2 HDMI, male and female vga and component) for an entry level LCD. Unfortunately I have not been able to get a decent picture in component input mode even though the picture is fine on over the air tv. In component mode the color is way off (totally magenta) and does not want to change despite attempts to correct using menus and tint and color intensity controls.
This is not a slim LCD (its over 3" thick) by any strech of the imagination nor can it be mounted snuggly to the wall because the connectors on the back, including the power connector, stick out about 2 inches past the back of the cabinet -a really poor design! For contrast check out the Coby on which the connectors are in a recess and pointed down, inset into and in parallel with the back panel. With the LG, if you use a thin wall mount you will need to space it about 2" out from the TV back to allow room for those connnectors to clear the wall. There are much better choices out there and I regret making this one.

Expensive but Awesome
We bought this TV to place in our kitchen. We had no problems mounting it to the wall. Remote is easy to use.
Unit was able to detect analog and digitial cable feeds right out of the box. Picture is decent when looking at analog cable. But this unit really shines when it comes to a digital hidef channel. Picture is ultra crisp and rivals my 42 inch plasma in the family room. Sound is pretty good considering the our particular application in the kitchen.

Great, easy set up, fast delivery !
I ordered this TV yesterday, and recieved it today. Only paid $10.00 for delivery!
It works great and was easy to set up.
Price was right. Beat Best Buy's price and the service was MUCH better than Best Buy too!

Very Satisfying!
I bought this set about 4 months ago and have had no problems. I normally use it connected to my DirecTV box but I've also connected it to my laptop to access wireless as well as wired Internet Netflix. No problems whatsoever. The user interface is friendly. I most appreciate the energy savings feature! Thanks LG :)

Great TV at a great price
We purchased this television a few months ago for our bedroom and have really liked it. Very clean and sharp image quality. We like the sound quality as well. We have this television connected to a DVD player and our cable box and haven't had any issues. When we purchase our next television we'll buy from LG. The only complaint I have is we purchased it at a best buy and it is cheaper here at Amazon.

Great Picture, Great Set
I've been looking for the right TV for almost a year. I read reviews, visted displays and compared specs. I waited until the 2009 models were released since I learned that they would be technically superior to prior year models. The LG is by far the best in its size, class and price point. In fact, if there is a better picture I'd like to see it because it would truly be incredible. The picture clariry is superb and you can detect actors' skin flaws and excessive make-up. Truly amazing! The sports mode is great. Its like being in the stadium. I should mention that I don't have cable so I rely on over the air broadcasts.
The remote control is easy to use and intuitive and the on screen menu is uncomplicated and straight forward. The sound quality is pretty good. Overall the perfect choice for the home office. The set worked perfectly out of the box. I've had the set for almost two months and look forward to continued good performance.
One small flaw however. On occassion, the voice #sound# is out of sync with the picture. A small intermittent annoyance. I checked the web and it turns out that
the problem could be caused by a factory setting. Reportedly, there is a way to change the setting which I have not tried because the problem isn't that annoying and I'm not sure if its the TV or the broadcast station. At this stage the juice ain't worth the squeeze.

LG 26 inch LCD TV
I have had this TV for a few weeks now and I can say it was worth the money. The picture is very good the sound is good. My only complaint is the off center viewing is a little faded. But in this price range I do not think you will find a better television. This is the 2nd LG TV I have owned, and rate both very highly.

Not Crystal Clear
I wanted an LG...little disappointed in the height as compared to my previous 26" T.V. Truly unsatisfied with the quality of picture on all stations. But, I still have cable and not digital...that might be the reason. It's better than what we had, so for that reason I'm Ok with it.

Good set but skimpy documentation
I would give this 5 stars if it had a real user manual. The file provided on a disk is only a color version of the B&W manual. The set has a lot of potential custom-setup options and few are documented. I'm quite experienced and managed to figure out most of them, but would have appreciated more information. I bought this for my 80 year old mother and she'll never figure out what to do if anything goes wrong, because the company provides no useful information for the average consumer who isn't an AV expert.
Finally, I saw good reviews for the sound, but I don't agree. The speakers are hidden and sound like it- very honky and stressed sounding. You can fiddle with the audio options but I found the synthetic audio modes to be very unnatural and phasy, indistinct and muddy. The best option to my taste was to disable all processing, but it still doesn't produce sound that matches the beautiful picture. It's really too bad that smallish sets like this don't offer better audio, because it kind of defeats the whole idea of the elegant package if you need to add amplifiers and speakers.

Great Picture. Easy Setup.
This is a very nice TV for the bedroom. Great picture and sound. SD channels even look good. I use it for both OTA and satellite reception. Setup was very easy for me. Wish it had more than one each of component and composite inputs, but overall I still give it a five. Ordered from Amazon with free shipping and it arrived in 3 days.

Good video; bad sound AND no analog audio outputs!
I bought this locally in Dec 2009 and naïvely assumed it had SOME sort of analog output (for external speakers or headphones). It doesn't; the only audio output is optical/TOSlink, which is a real disappointment for me.
VIDEO
Unless you will use it as a computer monitor, the 720p resolution is fine; with smaller televisions (under 32", for sure), there is little difference between 720p and the more expensive 1080p (which is hard to find in small televisions, anyway). Anything you use as a computer monitor should be 1080p, though. I actually feed it UHF (analog) over coax from a distant two-tuner Dish Network receiver, and the picture, while not HD, is much better than I expected, and this means I don't have to rewire my house for a 3rd satellite receiver. We watch this in the bedroom - usually news or a documentary and not movies, so it's all good. Oh, one more thing: s-video is increasingly rare on new televisions, and this model does NOT have an s-video input (2 HDMI, 1 composite only).
AUDIO
The sound quality, like that of pretty much any small television, is dismal. I ended up buying Behringer MS40 external speakers (which I reviewed here on Amazon) because they had TOSlink (optical) inputs. They were expensive and not that great.
So, if you will be closer to the television than 10' or more, or have excellent hearing in a quiet environment, this is a fine set; if you are more discerning on the audio side, will be in a less-than-silent environment, or don't have ideal hearing, you might want to think twice and look at units with analog outputs which will enable you to use an inexpensive pair of self-powered computer speakers.

Good, entry-level LCD
I purchased this TV based on the fact that I love my older 37 inch LG LCD tv. However I have found that while this is a good tv, its not great. The viewing angle is not as good as my older LG. As you move left or right the color fades (in HD or SD) especially with live tv (ie sports). Head-on the picture is pretty good with a variety of color/picture settings to fine-tune it. I have also found that you do have to crank the volume pretty high to hear the tv as well. If you are looking for a small TV to put in a bedroom where you will always be watching it head-on, for the money, its a pretty good choice. In my case, I do have it in the bedroom, but I have it mounted on the wall with a full-motion mount so I can turn it if I am not watching head-on.

Sleek and simple
I bought this LG after getting a gigantic 32inch panasonic that was so damn big i couldn't hardly lift it, and in any case would not fit into my sweet 1960s danish modern wall unit, no matter how i adjusted the shelves. (note to amazon tv buyers: when you see the pix of the tv with the dimensions, even though the pix shows the tv on the stand, the dimensions are for the screen itself, sans stand, as if it were mounted on the wall. stand adds another 3 inches or so to height). I am pretty well satisfied with it so far. It assembles super easily; you plug it into your dish or cable hook up and it smart syncs all your previous favorite channels and so forth automatically. it swivels, the styling is nice, and the picture is good. Only thing i did not like is the manual that came with it. Left out many details, like how you switch from tv to aux (wii) mode...(since i was coming from a much older tv, i didn't automatically know how to do it). the sound on this is fine for a smaller room -- but the audio is not super beefy.....and i may not be the one to judge the picture quality as i did not pop for paying extra to my satellite provider for high def...but all in all, a nice sleek, (thin) tv...easy to hoist and assemble and program...the remote is pretty intuitive. for the price, i feel like i got a pretty good deal.

Price 'right' and works fine for purpose in our country kitchen.
This is our second LG TV, the other a 39" unit and both work fine for purpose. We just wanted an upgrade in basic service including HD. We have no need nor interest in fancy extras. Yes, for our purpose we're wll satisfied which includes the purchase of this latest 26" through Amazon.

Great TV
We got this TV for our living room , and it works great. We use it with LG LHB953 1000-Watt Blu-ray Disc Home Theater In a Box for sound, and a Motorolla DCH 6416 HD DVR from the cable company and conroll it all with a Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote with Color Touch Screen. I have no complaints of the TV. I do not know how the built in speakers are, since I use a AmazonBasics Toslink Digital Audio Optical Cable (6 Feet/1.8 Meters) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging] and a Mediabridge Ultra Series - High Speed HDMI Cable - 3ft - Category 2 Certified - Supports 3D & Audio Return Channel to connect it to the Blu-Ray sound system. The only thing I wish the TV had was an auto dimming sensor.
